Project description:
The Rotary Club of Makati Business District (RCMBD) and the Local Government of San Juan City, in partnership with the Philippine Cancer Society, launched a Women’s Month medical mission providing free cervical and breast cancer screenings. The initiative promotes early detection and prevention while improving access to essential healthcare for women, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens.
The launch included a ceremony recognizing the partners and stakeholders supporting community health programs. Almost 100 women, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens participated.
By encouraging preventive care and early diagnosis, the mission supports women’s health and healthier communities. Early detection may also help reduce the financial burden of advanced illness.
