Project Description
The Rotary Club of Makati Business District (RCMBD), in partnership with Wack Wack Golf & Country Club and the Philippine Cancer Society, conducted the Kalinga Para sa Kadi healthcare and wellness initiative to support women caddies and employees through accessible preventive healthcare and health education.
The project focused on breast and cervical cancer awareness and screening, early detection, and overall women’s wellness. It provided participants with access to essential health services while encouraging preventive care and greater awareness of health risks.
Beyond healthcare, the initiative promotes the well-being, safety, and resilience of women. By helping detect health concerns early, the project can also reduce the financial and emotional burden of serious illness and help women remain healthy, productive, and better able to support their families.
The program supports Rotary’s Areas of Focus in Disease Prevention and Treatment, Maternal and Child Health, and indirectly, Community Economic Development.
Who Will Benefit From This Project?
More than 80 women caddies and employees of Wack Wack Golf & Country Club, with a particular focus on women who can benefit from preventive healthcare, cancer screening, and health education.
